Why This Tour is a Must-Do!
Why choose this particular tour? you might ask. Well, let me tell you from my own experience, it's truly special. This isn't just any tour; it's meticulously crafted and led by passionate local guides like Im Seong-il, Yoo Man, Lee Hyun-ji, Yoo Jeong-eun, and Lee Joo-young, many of whom are also YouTubers! They don't just recite facts; they bring Venice to life with engaging stories, historical context, and even personal anecdotes. What really struck me was their dedication—they run the tour even with just one person booked, ensuring everyone gets a top-notch experience. You'll uncover hidden gems, hear fascinating tales, and get insider tips you won't find in guidebooks. Plus, their friendly approach makes you feel like you're exploring Venice with a knowledgeable friend.
Tour Details at a Glance
This tour is designed to give you a comprehensive Venetian experience in a structured yet enjoyable way. You’ll meet at 8:20 AM, right outside the Santa Lucia train station by the clock tower – super easy to find! Make sure to come prepared with a 24-hour+ vaporetto (water bus) pass and 3.5mm wired earphones for the receiver, as a 3 euro receiver fee is applied per person from February 1st. It's important to note that tours don't operate on Sundays or during the Christmas week due to guide schedules. Also, be aware that Venice will implement an entrance fee on specific dates in 2026, so check the official city website for details if your trip falls within those times.
My Recommended Itinerary
Our journey kicks off bright and early at the Santa Lucia train station, where our guide explained the city's remarkable origins right by the Santa Lucia Church and Scalzi Bridge. Next, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Rialto Market and the iconic Rialto Bridge, truly the heart of Venetian trade history, before moving on to the historic German Warehouse. The Acadamia Bridge offered breathtaking views, leading us to the fascinating Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the grand Salute Church, and the historic Venetian Customs House. The grand finale was the iconic St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, Doge's Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs, where every corner tells a story. Finally, we explored San Giorgio Island, visiting the architectural masterpiece of San Giorgio Church, witnessing Tintoretto's Last Supper, and climbing the bell tower for unparalleled panoramic views of Venice.
Getting Around Venice: Location Guide
The meeting point at the Santa Lucia train station, right next to the clock tower, couldn't be more convenient. Whether you're coming from the mainland (Mestre) or already on the main island, it's easily accessible. From Mestre, you can take a quick train or bus to the Santa Lucia station. Once on the main island, Venice is best explored on foot, but the vaporetti (water buses) are your best friends for longer distances or crossing the Grand Canal. Our guide even gave us tips on using the vaporetti efficiently and how to navigate the charming, labyrinthine streets. They also pointed out handy restroom locations, which is invaluable in a city like Venice! Getting around becomes much less intimidating with a local expert by your side.
Venice Travel Tips & Must-Pack Essentials
First things first, comfortable walking shoes are non-negotiable! You’ll be doing a lot of walking on uneven cobblestones and bridges. A 24-hour (or longer) water bus pass is essential for getting around quickly, especially if you plan to visit islands like Murano or Burano after the tour. Don't forget your 3.5mm wired earphones for the tour receiver—it makes a huge difference in hearing your guide clearly in crowded areas. Depending on the season, pack layers! I visited in October, and the weather can be unpredictable; a light, packable jacket or even a thin down jacket for cooler mornings or unexpected rain is a lifesaver. And always carry a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while exploring.
Tours I Highly Recommend
While this morning tour covers a fantastic amount of ground, Venice has so much more to offer. If you want to dive even deeper, I highly recommend considering other specialized tours from MyRealTrip. For instance, a food tour could introduce you to the authentic Venetian cicchetti (tapas) and local wines, giving you a taste of the city's culinary soul. Or perhaps an evening tour to see Venice bathed in the golden hues of sunset and shimmering night lights, a truly romantic experience. Combining this morning tour with a specialized afternoon or evening tour can give you an even more complete and unforgettable Venetian adventure, ensuring you capture every magical facet of this unique city.
Wrapping Up My Venice Adventure
Looking back, choosing this guided tour was one of the best decisions I made for my Venice trip. It transformed my understanding and appreciation for this incredible city. Instead of just taking pictures, I now carry memories rich with history, art, and the vibrant stories of its people. The passionate guides, their insightful commentary, and the thoughtful itinerary truly made Venice come alive for me. If you're heading to Venice, whether it's your first time or a return visit, I wholeheartedly recommend joining this tour. It's an investment in an experience that goes far beyond mere sightseeing. You'll leave with a deeper connection to Venice and stories you'll cherish for a lifetime.
Dive into Real Reviews
I used to be a free-travel enthusiast, always planning my own itineraries. But after a fantastic guided tour in Barcelona, I realized how much more enriching a well-led tour could be. That's exactly why I decided to book this Venice morning tour, and I’m so glad I did! Hearing the historical context and engaging stories brought the places to life in a way a quick photo simply can't capture. Even when it rained, cutting our San Giorgio visit short, our guide's enthusiasm made it worthwhile, and their post-tour restaurant recommendation was an absolute gem – you must try it!
I remember starting at Santa Lucia station, instantly charmed by the ancient beauty of the church, then crossing the Scalzi Bridge into the bustling Rialto Market. The view from the Rialto Bridge was simply breathtaking! Exploring the Peggy Guggenheim mansion, feeling the quiet reverence at Salute Church, and then experiencing the grandeur of St. Mark's Square and Basilica were truly unforgettable. Our guide's insightful commentary on the Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs made history feel so real. Even in the chilly weather, it was a warm and memorable experience, all thanks to our amazing guide who truly brought the city's layers to life.
My friend and I, on a tight schedule, found this tour perfect for experiencing Venice's highlights. After a stressful journey to Italy due to transport strikes, stepping out into Venice's main island was like a breath of fresh air—Ah, this is Italy! Even though we miscalculated and arrived late, our guide, Yoo Jeong-eun, was incredibly kind and welcoming. Her voice was so lovely, and her explanations were captivating; four hours flew by! She even had great visual aids to help us understand everything, and she took fantastic photos of us. She also taught us how to use the vaporetti, which was super helpful. It was our first overseas trip together, and she made it such a joyful experience!
Honestly, I’d initially planned to explore Venice without a guide, thinking I could just take pretty pictures. But then I realized how much more meaningful it would be to understand the historical background. So, I signed up for the tour, and it was a brilliant move! Our guide, Yoo Jeong-eun, was absolutely incredible. Even though it was just my mother and me, she guided us with such passion and dedication. She gave us detailed instructions on getting from Mestre to the main island even before the tour and shared tips about local events afterwards. Her explanations, from Venice's origins to local life and art, were so easy to grasp. She even shared useful tips for restrooms! Thanks to her, our photos now have rich stories behind them, and my mom loved it too. The recommended restaurant on Giudecca Island with its amazing viewpoint was fantastic! I’d definitely book this tour again if I ever return to Venice.
I revisited Venice after 10 years, and this time, things were different. When train and water bus strikes threatened our plans, our guide proactively shared updates and confirmed our tour, which was a huge relief! Yoo Jeong-eun met us warmly at Santa Lucia station, even after we had to take a bus instead of a train. Despite the strike challenges, she made the tour so enjoyable with fascinating stories about Venice. Her restaurant recommendations were spot-on – the pasta was delicious! She even helped us try a traghetto ride, which was a fun local experience. Unlike my first trip where I just participated in festivals, this time I truly understood Venice's history and culture. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to truly know Venice.
We took both the night and morning tours with Tour Felice, and the morning tour of Venice's main island was just as wonderful. Climbing the San Giorgio Maggiore bell tower and seeing the entire panorama of Venice laid out before me was a truly magnificent moment—it was something I'd wanted to see most in Venice! Afterwards, our guide, Yoo Jeong-eun, recommended Oppa restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious bibimbap and tteokbokki. Thanks to Tour Felice and especially Yoo Jeong-eun, I experienced Venice so well. It reminded me of watching 임성일 (Im Seong-il) guide Venice on a travel show 20 years ago, which inspired my return. Thank you to both guides for such excellent, friendly tours.
My first impression of Italy began in Venice after a very long time. I participated in both the morning and afternoon tours with Tour Felice, soaking in Venice all day. Even with some overlapping spots, I was never bored and got a complete overview of the main island. Our guides, Joo-young and Yoo Jeong-eun, shared their favorite local restaurants and shopping tips, which we gladly followed! It was a truly immersive experience that made my return to Italy unforgettable.
Yoo Jeong-eun, our guide, was phenomenal! Her passion for Italy shone through, making the explanations so engaging and memorable. She took amazing photos at every landmark and gave us tons of excellent restaurant recommendations. Even when I asked for specific places, she was always helpful. I had originally wanted to do the sunset tour but couldn't, so I opted for the morning tour, and it was absolutely the right choice. I'm leaving Venice with wonderful memories, and I highly recommend this tour!
Returning from my trip, I finally got around to writing this review. Our guide really helped me understand Venice in depth and even ponder the lives of Venetians. Yoo Jeong-eun was so beautiful, I almost wondered if she was a real guide! She's not only gorgeous but also incredibly entertaining; time just flew by. Her explanations, complete with visual aids, were so clear—I still remember the wooden stilts under the buildings! The list of recommended restaurants and gelato shops she sent us beforehand was fantastic. Even though I visited Venice six years ago, thanks to her, I learned so many new things, making me want to return again. Her parting words about living differently, like a Venetian, really stuck with me. Thank you for everything, and stay healthy!
Our guide, Yoo Jeong-eun, led us through her cherished spots, combining water taxi rides with walking tours. Taking the water bus with her on the second day in Venice truly made me feel like I had arrived! Learning how to use the water taxis made getting around so much easier. She took excellent photos and shared invaluable Venice insights. Her tip to get lost in Venice was brilliant; after a delicious squid ink pasta at her recommended spot, I wandered without Google Maps, truly experiencing the city. Her explanation of an art piece at the end was deeply moving, and I even went back to see it again! The cicchetti place she suggested was also amazing. If I ever go to Venice again, I’d definitely take this tour on my second day.
I apologize for the late review for the September 29th tour, but Yoo Jeong-eun was truly the best guide! This was my solo trip, and she made me think deeply about Venice. As a student, it was a mystical place; later, I marveled at how such beautiful architecture could exist on the sea. Her explanations at Santa Lucia station were so clear and comforting, as if she were an old friend. She explained Venice like a professional art teacher. My words are too poor to express how wonderful it was!
Before booking, I scoured reviews, and this tour consistently stood out. I honestly didn't expect much, having visited Venice before, assuming I knew it all. But I was so wrong! I won't spoil the details, but her stories about Peggy Guggenheim, the history of colors, and the bridge design competitions were incredibly fun and informative. She patiently answered all my questions that books and internet searches couldn't, and her tips for my onward travel and restaurant recommendations were a godsend. The restaurant she suggested after the tour was the best meal of my entire trip! This is my completely voluntary review because the tour was just that good. Our local guide was truly the best!
This small-group tour with a local guide felt incredibly special. Exploring Venice's history and traces, we saw markets and alleys in a whole new light, places I would've just walked past otherwise. She patiently answered all my questions from the previous day's exploration and highlighted must-see spots, making me wish I could stay another day! It was a short but profound tour, and our guide's recommendation for a local sandwich shop made Venice even more memorable. Thank you for such wonderful memories!
Despite having visited Venice multiple times and planning a free trip, I booked this city tour for my parents, who were first-time visitors. Though Tour Felice's initial response wasn't super fast, and our guide (who hadn't been mentioned much in reviews) contacted us later, my slight apprehension quickly vanished. The 4-hour tour with our local guide was incredibly satisfying. She passionately shared Venice's history and latest info, took great photos at key spots, and gave detailed recommendations for restaurants and places to visit, all without even asking for a review! That's when I decided I had to write one, even if it's late after returning home due to a busy schedule. The view from San Giorgio Island's tower was breathtaking, and the recommended restaurant on Giudecca Island was friendly and delicious. I highly recommend this tour!
I loved the Venice night tour so much on my first day that I immediately signed up for the morning tour when I heard the same local guide was leading it! It was so different from the night tour, diving deep into Venice's culture and art. Every stop was fascinating and fun, especially the stories about the painter Tintoretto, which deeply moved me. The guide seamlessly wove together locations, history, and culture. The grand finale—being taken to a church with a panoramic view of Venice—was just superb! If my trip had been longer, I would've wanted to join all of Tour Felice's offerings; it was that enjoyable. Highly, highly recommend!
Thanks to this excellent tour, I had a fantastic day trip exploring Venice's main island! It was truly well-spent.
On my last day in Venice, I wanted to truly experience the main island, so I booked this tour. The meeting point, right by the clock tower at Santa Lucia station, was easy to find. Since it was high season, the meeting time was moved up, which was great as we avoided the biggest crowds. Our guide, Lee Hyun-ji, led us through the city, alternating between water bus and walking, explaining everything along the way. The receiver was absolutely necessary in the busy Rialto and St. Mark's Square! She also shared great tips about the surrounding area after the tour.
Our guide, Yoo Jeong-eun, was Venice's vitamin! Thank you so much! From the moment we met, her explanations were so clear and captivating, confirming I made the right choice with this tour. The flat peaches I bought at the market, based on her recommendation, were delicious back at the hotel. She also suggested local restaurants where we had great meals and showed us how to get to other islands, so we easily visited Burano the next day. I wish you happiness and health back in Italy!
Our family, the weather fairies who managed to dodge the rain for 15 days in Italy (only used an umbrella for 30 minutes in Milan!), had our tour with Guide Kim Eun-hye on February 25th. I had actually booked the tour last-minute on the train from Rome to Venice on the 24th, and I was so grateful for their quick responses (via my wife's account) confirming that last-minute bookings were possible. Although I had studied up on Venice from Tour Felice's representative's broadcast, actually walking through the sites and hearing the explanations made a huge difference. Kim Eun-hye explained Venice's history and culture as we explored. I wish I had more time to visit the extra places she recommended after the tour. She even accompanied us near the train station at the end, which I appreciated given my stress about making our train! (She wisely told us the octopus dish at the recommended restaurant might take too long, which saved us!) We enjoyed other pasta dishes there and made our train with a comfortable 25 minutes to spare. Thank you again, Kim Eun-hye, for also sharing Milan tips. I wish you all the best with your ongoing projects!
Visiting Venice after 13 years, I can confirm that a guided tour is absolutely the right choice! Our guide, Lee Joo-young, took fantastic photos for us and gave excellent restaurant recommendations, making it a truly wonderful time. Her thoughtful gesture of playing music during our transfers was a lovely touch. Even in the cold weather, her passionate guidance left a lasting impression. You absolutely have to try the local restaurants she recommends!
